Travel Agency Operations (T.A.O)
Project Sales Pitch Day!

It was a morning at SJI Junior where the 4 groups will set up their own booth to sell whatever they have planned for weeks to the kids in Primary 5 and Primary 6.

And for my group, it was a success indeed, to be able to sell the idea of a "Boring" Chinatown. Cause it was a brillant idea to catch the boys attention with.... SOCCER

We asked Glenn (EX-St Michael's Student)

"What does your school's boys like?"

"Soccer. Its a culture in St Mic's that ever boy owns a soccer ball"

*TING!*

thats called SALES STRATEGY.

seriously i wasn't confident with our Chinatown idea. Not sure why we choose Chinatown, but it was my idea in the first place cause we thought the excursion has to be somewhere of heritage and culture. When we realised it doesn't have to be any heritage, it was too late to organise anything else. Called ard 22 factories, its either they don't provide tours, or we gotta book 3months in advance or they aren't open on 22nd Feb, which is our planned execution date. The date wasn't favourable for us! Cause its still the CNYperiod, so many places are still closed..

Well! so after much dilly-dallyness, we've decided to stay put with the Chinatown plan we had right frm the beginning~ I was assured by Mich that everything will work. Well, she proved me right today!

I didn't have much confidence even till i entered the school this morning. was thinking of how to convince or bluff the kids my way through. well well! I didnt have to do much talking.. "SOCCER &GAMES" saved my saliva!

Though we used soccer theme to attract them, it doesnt mean that our tour isn't exciting enough! Its just a way of pulling them to our direction, to hear us out and not go "eeeee" with the thought of CHINATOWN*

Chinois ; "Chinese" in French.

I had fun! I'm sure everyone else in my group felt the same way too!

And just glad everyone else in the 3 other groups did well too with all vacancies filled up. The just of it gotta depend on the actual day of the tour itself ;)
